Legal Administrative Assistant
We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant for our client, an established and reputable legal company located in West Vancouver. Previous experience in legal is an asset.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Preparing and formatting correspondence and documents
- Completing standard forms, photocopying, and binding documents
- Arranging for and following up with couriers
- Ordering office supplies
- Maintain hard copy and electronic filing systems, as applicable, for legal files
- Obtain relevant information and update various databases
- Complete financial coding for invoices from outside suppliers
- Update applicable records and arrange for approval and payment
- Schedule meetings, prepare materials for meetings, make travel arrangements and prepare expense claims
- Develop effective working relationships with administrative team
Skills and Requirements:
- Previous experience providing administrative support to a team
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
- Knowledge of legal matters through post secondary education or experience in a legal environment is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong time management skills and ability to perform multiple tasks
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with other departments of the organization and with outside parties
